After observing a lack of scholarship opportunities available to survivors of trafficking, Free for Life created a unique program to assist with educational costs. This program is open to survivors around the world, and can be used for any educational or vocational program of the survivor’s choice!
Free for Life provides one of the only survivor-focused scholarship funds in the country! Through this program, we walk hand-in-hand with survivors as they achieve their educational dreams.
FFLI scholarship recipients also participate in the Career Mentor Program, which pairs each with qualified mentors. These relationships assist students with professional and educational development as they prepare to step fully in their new lives of freedom.
HOW TO APPLY
The eligibility requirements for survivors are:
- Each survivor must have completed a rehabilitation program through a local shelter or nonprofit program.
- Each survivor must have a passionate heart and a personal desire to pursue education or vocational training.
- Each survivor must complete all necessary prerequisites to be accepted into their desired institution or program
Scholarship applications are accepted on a rolling basis, but according to the following schedule:
DEADLINE FOR SPRING FUNDING: NOVEMBER 16TH AT 5:00 PM
DEADLINE FOR SUMMER FUNDING: MARCH 15TH AT 5:00 PM
DEADLINE FOR FALL FUNDING: JULY 12TH AT 5:00 PM
Any application sent after a listed deadline will be taken into consideration for the following term. Every application is reviewed by Free for Life’s committee and top applicants will be selected for interviews within a month of each deadline.
The FFLI Survivor Scholarship is not accepting new applications at this time. We will update the website as soon as we have the capacity to process new applications.
