The first annual Heritage Tattoo Conference took place last month, educating tattoo artists and shop owners about the link between trafficking and ink. Mel Judkins, tattooist and conference organizer, shared his experiences working with victims of trafficking that have been branded, and described giving new life and meaning to their ink. Judkins and the other conference organizers taught tattoo artists about trafficking brands and how to recognize victims of human trafficking.
