Run like a Girl 5k

The students and faculty at Carbondale Community High School in Illinois recently organized a 5K run to support Free for Life International!
Here is what Betty G., an English teacher at the school, had to say about the event:
“The students in the club I sponsor, Women in Leadership, became interested in learning more about trafficking when we read Sold by Patricia McCormick. In the spring, we worked with SIUC to present a power point about trafficking. The students also presented a dramatic performance of the book Sold. They wanted to put what they learned into action so we decided to host a 5k to raise awareness and money to help. We had a great turnout and wonderful school and community support! We also applied for, and received, a matching grant from Modern Woodmen of America which helped us to double the money we raised. I’m thrilled you will be able to put the donation to good use!”

Free for Life International is so grateful to the faculty and students at Carbondale Community High School, and the volunteers in the community for participating in this event. This donation will go to save, rescue and support victims of sex trafficking.
