Collaboration between NGOs and Law Enforcement leads to Arrests

“Criminals often capitalize on large, special events to conduct illicit activity, including the trafficking of human beings.”

Several local, state and federal agencies came together with nonprofit organizations to conduct a human trafficking investigation surrounding the NASCAR Coca-Cola 600 race in North Carolina. This work resulted in the identification of 15 potential victims of human trafficking and three arrests.
