Free for Life International Awarded $100,000 to Help Victims of Human Trafficking in Middle Tennessee
Free for Life Ministries (now Free for Life International), an international human trafficking non-profit organization, based out of Franklin, TN, was one of 12 organizations nationwide to be awarded grant money from HHS, under the Rescue and Restore program. Free for Life International will be facilitating the distribution of $100,000 to seven local Nashville organizations who will work to implement new anti-human trafficking programs throughout the Middle Tennessee area.
Free for Life Border Event for Nepal
On July 15th Free for Life held their first event at the home of Founders Colette
and Dr Daniel Bercu. The purpose of this event was to raise the remainder of the
money needed to fund an existing border monitoring station in Nepal. Free for
Life had already raised some of the funds before this event
Didi’s Story: Ripple Effect (Nepal)
The fight against human trafficking is overwhelming when we look at the numbers. I am here to say to you, Yes, we are making a difference, and ripples that seem so small at first, when added together, forge tidal waves of hope. Here is one such story. Didi was on her way to being trafficked into India across the border from Nepal, when she was spotted by PRC workers leaving Nepal with a man. Once interviewed, she was offered the opportunity to go back to the shelter or continue on to India with the man she accompanied. She chose to go back to the shelter.
